To be linked to the only work signed by the artist, Jupiter and Asteria from the Budapest museum ((see U. Ruggeri, Pietro and Marco Liberi. Pittori nella Venezia del Seicento, Rimini 1996, p. 60), the present canvas also shares its probable dating to the 1760s, i.e., when Marco worked closely with his father, for example in the fresco with the Glory of St. Anthony in the sacristy of the Saint in Padua. The work is accompanied by a study by Professor Enrico Lucchese.
